Biladi Learning was founded by Maya Al Banna, a Lebanese expat and Speech therapist living in Canada. With a deep love for her beautiful homeland, Lebanon, and a passion for communication and bilingual language development, Maya aims to combine her professional expertise with her cultural roots to create something truly meaningful.
Born from love, nostalgia and purpose, Biladi Learning offers educational and cultural resources designed to help Lebanese children and families around the world stay connected to their heritage and Lebanese roots. All our educational products are infused with Lebanese culture and traditions, and available in English and French. They are carefully designed to be accessible to everyone, so that even children who don’t read Arabic yet can explore their culture

Our Story
Marhaba- مرحبا! I’m Maya, a Lebanese expat and Speech therapist living in Canada. In 2021, like many of us, I packed all my memories and a little piece of home in a suitcase and moved to Canada. Though miles away, Lebanon was never far from my heart. Over the years, I met so many Lebanese families abroad. Parents eager to preserve their roots, and children who were bright and curious, yet often missing that deep connection to their homeland, heritage and language.
As someone who helps children find their voices every day and values connection, I asked myself: How can we help our children living abroad stay connected to our dear Lebanon, even from miles away? That question planted the seed of Biladi Learning, “Biladi” meaning my homeland. My goal is to help families in the diaspora share Lebanon’s rich culture, traditions, and language with their children by using fun, cultural and educational resources.

Our goal isn’t academic. It’s emotional. We want kids to feel connected,not through lectures, but through creativity, play, and curiosity. If your child finishes these books knowing a bit more about Lebanon and feeling proud of who they are, we did our job right.
